A WORD ON OATS
Whether oats are gluten free or not differs between countries. I wanted to include them in this post as there are many awesome breakfast recipes that include oats.
In the US you can get gluten free oats, but in Australia you can only find wheat free oats. There are people that cannot eat oats at all, especially people with Coeliac disease. But some people (like myself) that are sensitive to gluten, oats may not cause any issues.
Where you see chocolate chips in a recipe, you can easily swap them to various versions out there - dairy free, sugar free, carob, cacao nibs.
Where you see recipes that list dairy free milk, plant-based milk or even regular milk, you can easily swap for your preferred milk.
I don't recommend substituting your preferred gluten free flour for what is listed in the recipe, as some flours do not swap 1-1. So unless you are 100% that you can swap it or you are happy to experiment, stick to the flour that is used in that recipe. Unless of course, the recipe includes substitutions.
