Ingredients

  • 14 oz Sweet potato
  • 1/2 tsp Salt
  • 1/2 tsp Pepper
  • 2 Tbl olive oil or melted butter or coconut oil
  • 1/2 Tbl garlic powder

Instructions

  • Preheat oven. Preheat oven to 220 C | 430 F and lightly grease a baking tray or sheet.
  • Prepare sweet potatoes. Pell and slice sweet potatoes into wedges and place them in a bowl. Add oil (or melted butter), garlic powder, sea salt and pepper in a small bowl and mix well. Pour over the fries, mixing well to combine.
  • Cook wedges. Place the fries in a single layer on the baking tray (or sheet) and place in the oven and cook for 30-35 minutes or until crispy, turning over at the 15 minute mark. Remove from the oven and serve immediately.

Notes

FLAVOUR OPTIONS
Salt, pepper and oil - you can use either olive oil or coconut oil. Drizzle two tablespoons oil and add a pinch of salt and pepper.
Salt, pepper, garlic powder and oil - this is the same as the flavour option above but you add 1 tablespoon of garlic powder.
Garlic powder, butter, salt and pepper - For this combination, you drizzle 2 tablespoons butter over the wedges with the garlic powder, salt and pepper.
TIPS
  • Mix the flavours really well with the wedges to ensure that they coated really well.
  • Make sure you don't over crowd the wedges on the baking tray or baking sheet.
  • Make sure you slice the sweet potato into wedges that are all similar sizes.
